Singer & Songwriter Series Featuring Bobby Tomberlin & Tess Frizzell
4 p.m. | Sunday, July 6 | Lewes Elementary School Auditorium
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of stories and songs as part of the Singer & Songwriter Series, featuring Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominee Bobby Tomberlin. Hailing from Luverne, Alabama, Tomberlin began his musical journey at just 11 years old as a radio DJ, interviewing legends like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. He went on to co-write the chart-topping hit “One More Day” by Diamond Rio, Darryl Worley’s “A Good Day to Run”, and the Grammy-nominated “Someday It’ll All Make Sense” performed by Dolly Parton and Bill Anderson. His songs have been recorded by icons including Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton, and Barbra Streisand.
Following a behind-the-scenes interview filled with Nashville stories, Tomberlin will be joined on stage by Tess Frizzell. A rising talent with country roots that run deep, Frizzell is the daughter of Shelly West and the granddaughter of Country Music Hall of Famer Dottie West. Her uncle, Lefty Frizzell, is also a Hall of Fame inductee. Tess has co-written with celebrated artists including Bill Anderson and Waylon Payne, and brings a fresh, heartfelt voice to the stage.
